Presentation Tools
There are many times throughout the year that students are asked to present their learning in some form. Getting students going on Google Slides is a great way to have students present, but adding options to what students can use to present can engage students and bring out their creative spirit. Some students will even surprise you with the amazing presentations they are able to create.

Google Slides
Description: Google Slides is a simple presentation tool that incorporates words, pictures, and embedded video. Multiple users are able to work on the same slideshow. All you and your students need are Google accounts and you are up and running with a powerful tool that takes kids beyond the limits of their pencil and paper.
Purpose: Google Slides is a great starting point for having students present their learning to the rest of the class. Although the features are more limited than Keynote there is a distinct advantage with the ability to have student groups work together on the same slideshow. An entire class could work on the same slideshow and each be assigned a slide to share about a common theme. Keynote for IOS and Mac
Description: Keynote allows students to create professional quality presentations with a simple and intuitive interface. Go beyond the basic pictures and text to include picture and video tools that deliver unique presentations that students are proud of. Top it off with cinema quality transitions.
Purpose: There are many times when students are asked to share their learning in some form. Prezi for Education
Description: Take static presentations to a whole new level by adding motion and perspective to the final product. Have students display their creativity by embedding text, pictures, and video into a moving canvas of potential.
Purpose: A great option for students to add their own creativity to the typical presentations that happen in the classroom. Students can add motion and zooming to their slides that allow for an interesting perspective that students enjoy showing to the class. Cost: Freemium - Free features on Education plan include creating Prezis with a limited storage. Paid features include image editing and working offline. Description: My Maps is a creative way to add text, pics, and video to a pin that is created on Google maps. Students are able to pin multiple locations, draw travel paths, and add layers to create a unique presentation experience.
Purpose: My Maps works well with historical presentations or literature text that have specific locations that can be mapped out. Students are able to gain perspective to the real world around them when inserting their information into their map. Thinglink

Description: Thinglink is a creative way for students to share information about a topic they are presenting. A single picture is tagged with small dots (Thinglinks) that are links to additional pictures, text, or embedded videos.
Purpose: Great tool for showing information through diagramming a larger picture in science. Students could also take a picture that represents a topic and add links within the picture that lead to text, pictures, or video that further describe the concept they are presenting about. Popplet
Description: Very simple mind-mapping tool that allows students to organize their thoughts and present to the class in visually appealing way. Integrates with the camera on the iPad to allow students to take their own pictures to go along with their text.
Purpose: Popplet can be used with just about any topic in the classroom and it can be a quick and simple 5 minute brainstorm all the way to a detailed map that presents learning the rest of the class that could stretch the length of a unit.
